i am strongly of the opinion that the duchess of sutherland is the very finest steam locomotive bar none, and we are so very lucky to be able to see her at her finest in the 21st century

Spotted her at Crewe, today, at the head of a couple of coaches. She sloped-off before could get off the 350 I was on and go and have a look. The old girl can move when she wants to! According to the guard of the 350 she'd been around Crewe for a couple of days....

Lovely Steam Locomotive, but awful, and dangerous, station.
Wakefield Kirkgate either needs levelling or having serious money spent on it. Theres supposed to be a london express service starting next year which passes through it.
Many unmanned stations are just too dangerous to use alone, especially at night or in winter.

I was on the platform the day this came in. Wasn't expecting this while waiting for my train.

This station needs to be manned when these come through. So many people ignore the signage! Have you seen them off the end of platform 2??

There were 3 Network Rail bods there in orange boiler suits, they didn't seem too bothered.
