I was there that night, was pleased I finally got to see him before he called it a day, though let's hope he'll be back. I think he quit just a few days after this gig so he was obviously keeping a few feelings inside in the interview (his sign-off letter was slightly more emotional!)

@Ldnzoo he was caught in a catch 22 - clearly his compositional output was more important than his DJing but he never seemed to be given that opportunity to make a career out of it .. it's a shame, he was one of the absolute masters of broken beat with so much jazz. Indeed, I hope he can find a way back.
