Whenever someone recommends only N P K to any soil you know they are not educated on soil health. They have went through a big ag sponsored training program like a university. Following a NPK protocol will give you weak plants that look nice for a while but are prone to disease, pests and weeds. Balance the soil with the proper minerals and then there are no worries about pests, disease and weeds.
@bzell99 It is too bad that you are so quick to judge based on this short video. As a matter of fact I teach detailed classes on soil health that mention the very things you accuse me of being ignorant of. The video was an introduction to soil testing. It was intended to get people to start thinking of soil testing instead of just flinging fertilizer on the soil. I also teach a series that include organic concepts only. I hope this clears thing up a bit. God Bless friend.
I apologize for not giving better information. In most counties in the US, there is a Cooperative Extension Service office which is part of your State's Land Grant University. The address of that office can be found by searching on the internet for your county name added to Cooperative Extension Service.
If you have additional difficulty email me at heilig@anr.msu.edu and I will find it for you.
Thank you for taking the time to send a comment. .
