From the end titles of the first Austin Powers film, the song about the BBC.
This was filmed from the television which explains why the quality is not as good as could be.

  • Love that psychedelic rock!

  • @Agent1W So do I. I am surprised that Austin Powers has been so popular in other countries as well as it strikes me as being something uniquely British!

  • @alanheath I'm a James Bond fan so I particularly enjoyed this rather interesting parody!

  • @Agent1W So I am! A big fan since I was around 11 - when I saw Live and Let Die! Although recently Bond has really gone downhill!

  • Funny thing is that the recording off the telly gives this viddy a garage sound that makes the song feel even more 60's!!!

  • @MGD10538 You are right! I was going to rerecord it properly but now I won't!!

  • The BBC is the British Broadcasting Corporation - the Govermnent-run TV/Radio network in the UK. Its a total institution over here! We've all grown up to the BBC!

  • pirate ilegale copy right

  • yeah baby yeah!

  • @colliric Thank you.

  • @7beers It is not government run, but it's funding for it's television stations is primarily recieved through what essentially amounts to a television tax that is set every year by the Government.

Other funds for other initiatives are recieved through grants.

So it is publically funded primarily through a tax/license.

  • @immaterialman I always thought it was government run, but you seem to be correct.

  • The BBC is NOT government run... it's independent... and you're right it's an institution :-)
