http://zennie2005.blogspot.com/2008/12/rachel-maddow-for-meet-press-moderator... - Rachel Maddow's the best choice to replace Tom Brokaw and the late Tim Russert before him. She would carry on Russert's tradition of fairness.

  • I like Tim Russert, but he and all the other MTP anchors rarely give good follow up questions.

  • @Nina37Seattle

good one. To compare her to Tim Russert is to dishonor his memory. He was the only newsman to truly grill both political parties

She is an avowed liberal, who publicly endorses candidates on her show while condemning Republicans. To call that "factual" is simply saying that you agree with her views. Having her host MTP would be no different than having Hannity host it. Do you really think she would be impartial in her treatment of Obama as a guest and, say, George Bush?

  • @stoneecold23 Not the most liberal. She'd be the most factual. Her ability to report on the facts is something that isn't seen much anymore. She would be great!

  • she would be horrific. A moderator for a show that is non-partisan requires a host that would be able to separate their personal feeling and emotion from the races. Tim Russert and Tom Brokaw both were able to do this....Rachel Maddow would be the most liberal activist host in the history of the show

  • yeah rachel maddow!!

  • Yeah his personality is better served in sports, espn, ect.

Just cutting people off with question after question is not investigating a topic, its just rude.

  • You are right! Rachel Maddows will fit that position well.

  • Go Rachel!!!

At the very least they should give her her own Sunday morning national network round table talk show to lead/moderate!!!

  • Very good

  • now thats some dude
