Forever Summer: Episode 8

*Sunday at the movie theaters*

Joe: Oh my gosh. Here she comes!

Nick: *Turns and sees Selena and Demi; plays it cool* Joe. She already gets that you like her, just calm down.

Joe: That's why i'm nervous. Was i too flirty, too forward?!

Kevin: *Puts his hand on Nicks shoulder* Calm him. I'll go say hi.

Selena: *Sees Nick, feels embarrassed about last night* There they are.

Demi: Quick, here comes Kevin. Act like we didnt see them. *Both turn around*

Kevin: *Walks up* Hey girls, how are you?

Demi: Great, you?

Kevin: Ready to have fun. Come on. *They walk over to the boys*

Demi: Hey guys. Thanks for inviting us.

Joe: *Loving laugh; the one that goes high then low*

Demi: *Exchanges a weird glance with Selena* So what are we going to see?

Joe: Well we could see that one concert movie... i heard it was so great... :D

Demi: *Giggles* You mean yours?

Nick: I'd rather not. And i dont think they do either.

Selena: I'm good with anything...

Nick: *Looks at Selena*
In his mind:
What did she mean by that. Does she not want to be here. With me. What if she just wanted to be alone last night. Great, and I had to go and be daring and talk to her. She'll never like me now.

Selena: I'm just glad we're here.

Nick: *Smiles. Yes*

*After the movie*

Demi: *Giggles* that was so funny.

Joe: Well i think our movie was funnier.

Nick: *rolls his eyes*

Kevin: *Coughs* Conceited much

Demi: Tell you what. If it makes you happy, we can go stare at your movie poster and pretend like we're seeing the movie.

Joe: It would make me very happy.

Demi: Come on. *Her and Joe walk around the corner, walking extremely close to each other*

Kevin: I'll go get the car.

Selena and Nick are left alone. together.

Nick: So... um. How are you?

Selena: *Confused, then gets what he's talking about* Oh. I'm fine, Now.

Nick: I'm sorry if you didnt want me to be with you last night, ya know. If you wanted to be alone.

Selena: You really helped cheer me up last night. Thanks for being with me.

Nick: *Smiles* You're welcome.

Selena: *Looking a little sad*

Nick: Are you sure you're okay.

Selena: Not really.

Nick: Oh. Do you wanna talk about it. It's okay if you don't...

Selena: You think you know someone and then something like this happens. He didn't even admit to it, or even say sorry. And now I have to see him everyday when we shoot...

Nick: *Sees her starting to cry* Look. He's a bad person. And yeah you have to see him a lot, but. Do you want this? Do you want to be an actress?

Selena: Well, yeah.

Nick: Then don't let him get in the way of what YOU want and what YOU need to do.

Selena: *Grins* You're right.

They hear screams from around the corner. Then Demi and Joe come running around the corner. Following are a mass of girls and paparazzis.

Selena: What's going on?

Nick: What you never go out anywhere with Demi?

Selena: No. She never wants to, she-

Nick: Well this is why. Come on, we have to get out of here. *Grabs her hand and pulls her toward the car Kevin is now pulling up in*

Paps: Joe, is Demi your new girl? Nick, who's this. Is she a girlfriend? Where's Kevin.

They all ignore this and run to the car, except Selena who is amazed by all the flashes, and even more by her hand, which is now intertwined in Nicks.

In Selena's Mind:
What is all this. Is this seriously how it'll be when my show airs. All these strangers following me with cameras. But mainly, why is my hand being grasped by Nick Jonas?!??

They get out of the car at the Jonas' house.

Joe: Sorry about having to leave your car there. We'll have someone go get it right now.

Demi: Thank you.

Kevin: Do you wanna come in?

Demi: Yeah, sure. Thanks.

They go inside as Nick and Selena are getting out of the car. Nick let go of her hand when they were safely in the car, but they didnt talk the whole ride there.

Nick: Sorry about that. They're everywhere we go.

Selena: But not here?

Nick: No. They usually dont follow. They just station where they know we'll be.

Selena: Weird.

Nick: *Nods* So are you gonna come inside.

Selena: Nah. I have filming tomorrow, so I think I'll tell Demi bye and head home.

Nick: Well we all had a great time tonight. I know I did. *Looks up to see if Selena catches his drift*

Selena: *She does* I did too. I hope I'll see you soon, Nick.

Nick: *Hugs her, then leans back not sure if he should have. their arms are still together*

Selena: *Looks down at her arms around his*

In Selena's Mind:
No. I remember this. This is how it all started with David. I will not let him break my heart. I will not be played again!!!

Selena: *Let's go, looks at Nick, scared. She runs. Fast down the street*

Nick: Wait. I'm sorry. I, I'm sorry.
