If there was ever a medium between tenor and contemporary Melissa would slot in perfectly, singing here strangled her vocal cords, what she really needed was an opera theatre to truly appreciate her voice of beauty

One of about a dozen songs that draws tears from my eyes. Wonderful melody and touching lyrics.

Love Melissa's voice and her interpretation of this song.
Is it true for the 2010 remake of the movie, this song will be sung by another singer? Just cannot imagine anyone else singing this song other than Melissa.

Love Love Love Melissa Manchester, love love love this song. She has one of those voices that touches your heart, your soul.
I love Melissa more than anyone but she usually kicks ass singing this song and this was done in a powerless none building up way..it sucked. I am used to hear here plow this song out like a trooper! Not powerful like it should of been song!

Melissa got a bit of flack when she released "If My Heart Had Wings" for "yelling" and being too "loud". It was right after Whitney's "I will always love you" so being loud and belting it out was popular. As far as I'm concerned no one can belt it out better then Melissa...but you'll notice after that CD she's gone softer and quieter. She's still got the voice...just trying to tone it down a bit.

I do appreciate Melissa, but have you heard Barbra, Reba, Celine or Helen?

If you see Melissa live her voice is incredible. Barbara is a fan of Melissa's and recorded Melissa's song "Just One Lifetime"..it was her wedding theme to James Brolin. So Barbara is a fan of Melissa. As for Reba, not impressed. Celine and Helen are great talents...but Melissa is not only talented but super sweet too which is important. No diva bitch stuff like Whitney and others. I am a fan of Helen too. Celine annoys me. Laura Branigan's Power of Love was far superior to Celine's.
