Hey guys! The Phantom of the Opera vids are back!!!! I want to apologize for taking so long to finish these vids. You see, I had to borrow my dad's CD to finish act 2 because mine kept on skipping and I did not want you guys to be subjected to that. We all know how annoying skipping CDs are. ;)

Anyways, we continue. There are only a couple of tracks left. This song was always fascinating for me. When you see it on Broadway, it's sooo cool!!

  • So pretty. :) But what exactly is happening in this scene? I saw this musical a month or two ago and they never said any of this during this scene.

  • @LittleLotte616 Well, Christine is at her father's grave, Phantom tries to seduce her by singing from the grave, then Raoul comes to her aid, and from what I can remember of the play, when Raoul comes to Christine's side, the Phantom appears and tries to lure him to his death with fire. At least, that's what I can remember... As Raou walks closer and closer to the Phantom he began to spit fire out at him.

  • @BelovedCaptain Oh cool. When I saw the play the Phantom just shot firebolts at them from the top of the mauselium until they ran away.

  • @LittleLotte616 Yeah, that happened, but it seemed like he was luring Raoul to his death, so to speak. :)

  • Huh... I've never heard "Bravo, Monsieur" before. Do they still do that scene on Broadway?

From what you described, it sounds like Andrew actually tried to portray Erik's "inhuman abilities" that Gaston Leroux listed in The Phantom of the Opera. I can't believe they cut that out in the recent (can you even call it recent any more?) film version!!!

  • is it just me or does Don Juan sound so much better and epic and darker than in the film version?

  • While I'll give the recent movie made props for a lot of scenes ... but they butchered this one the most... very disappointing..

Just proves that nothing could be better than seeing the play in person!!!

  • @ptofa1 WHO DOESN'T?

  • @BelovedCaptain LOL.
