Sony Vegas Tutorial :: Hauppauge HD PVR :: Render Settings

I recently got an HD PVR as most of you know, but while looking for good settings, I honestly didn't find much on YouTube or the Forums. So I ran some tests of my own and found this to be the best quality in the simplest possible way. One simple Vegas render and that's all, no need to use meGUI or Riverpast.

Mine Crashes every time i try to render in Main Concept no matter what settings i pick. I record off a ps3, does that matter? What recording format do you record right off the PVR?

Do you use an m2ts clip? I doesn't work for me to open m2ts files in Sony Vagas! Do these setting apply for if I recorded in mp4?

@skate3fanatic I use M2TS, try installing original drivers that came with the Hauppauge and not updated ones.

when i use sony vegas it comes up with the top right bit of what i recorded and i cant see whats happening

@TheWaynelds nobody cares about 720 versus 1080 on youtube (well, some people do, but they have million dollar computers), so go ahead and just do 720

Is it a good idea to do 1080p if im just uploading my video to youtube, or should i just use 720p?

Im doing a 3D animation and i rendered the frames out in HD 1280x720. I have a widescreen 17inch laptop screen, so HD is how i want to render my vids so they fit the whole screen.
