This is what my friends mums ottb was like i am 12 and early last year I taught him to jump and he is very very high struck but I worked well with him and took one stride at a time and I did some free lunging in the round yard and he really hated when i would make him go around i would stop and turn around and he would het it he just wanted attention! He now jumps 1 meter and he is a 16hh

Lovely training :)

good job!
I can't get my gelding to lunge at a canter. He only does a half circle at a walk or trot. I don't want to whip him to make him move, What should I do?

@Dandyizbeast Hard to advise without seeing the horse. A horse escapes forward for survival. When a horse refuses to move forward one can wonder about physical discomfort or pain associated with forward movement. The cause might be excessive weight on the fore hand, crookedness of the spine, kissing spine, hoof issue, or many other possibilities. Perhaps if you sent us a video, we could propose a few suggestions.
