@magprob Saw him live with Bonnie singing back up. Great show. The man can really sing and play. Great country gentleman.

To see and hear Bonnie beside Merle doing what they did best is like the greatest and most underated chapter in country music. Two wonderful people and talented beyond belief!

To sing with such a cool sounding voice ..it looks effortless for him..Still amazes me..

Well, some people's children!
Apparently my neighbours do not appreciate hearing Merle Haggard at formidable volume before 9am on a Sunday morning. I tell you, some folks have no appreciation for culture :)

I'm a pinko commie liberal and I'd rather baby seals be clubbed than go without Hag.

I grew up near Bakersfield back in the 60's. Saw Merle Haggard and the Strangers 3 times. They were amazing. I was a youngster and later went through the rock and roll, hippie days, but I always listen to the HAG. Saw Buck Owens and the Buckaroos there about 5 or 6 times to. Still great stuff man.
Thanks for posting this one. The HAG is a great guitar player too.

Wow... He can actually play lead guitar parts. I wanna see one of those shitheads that dominate "country" radio these days play lead guitar, or play anything for that matter.
i pledge alliegence to the hagg...love this
