SBC TV Drama Serial Jue Dai Shuang Xiong 新广电视剧 - 绝代双雄 (萧麗珠)

TV Serial from 1987。 One of the few ancient setting/martial arts TV serial filmed back in the 80s. The song was performed by well known Taiwanese singer popular in the late 70s and 80s 萧麗珠 made famous the classic 一廉幽梦. This main theme was composed by the local talent 李思菘， 李伟菘。

missed the ancient/historical dramas produced by SBC in the 80's and early 90's. nowadays the so called 'ancient drama' made by Mediacorp are crappy productions with foreign studios, and not only it is totally dubbed, but also placed Mediacorp actors with minor roles that are not significant. Important roles are given to those never heard before actors from China/Taiwan/HK!

This is absolutely awesome. One of the longer ancient chinese dramas of the 1980s ... it lasted 40 episodes. Pity that TCS/Mediacorp do not produce such serials anymore ... ancient dramas tend to be collaborations with other studios overseas.

wow...i think i saw this show when I was visiting Singapore in Late 1986 early 1987! (i was on vacation...only spoke English, but the action kept me watching!

@yttab That's because the lyrics were written by the head scriptwriters of the shows themselves, unlike nowadays where the current composers and lyrics writers are all non-scriptwriter background and basically don't have the sort of chinese vocab that the older gen. used to..

Sigh... Yeah. I love almost all the ancient drama done during the good old days of SBC. Now they only put handsome men and pretty girls who dont know how to act and crap scripts with weak plot together.
