[Fandub] Kingdom Hearts II - Showdown of Fate II

Well... This I just decided to one day mix randomly, yet at the same time I've always wanted to redo this scene. Sadly it's not the WHOLE thing (yet) as It's been hard to find great footage of the pre- Sora vs Sephiroth battle, but here's hoping. This is, obviously, Showdown of Fate 2.

However, using this scene with japanese subtitles, there was room for more creativity with the dialogue. Some of it is closer to the original Translation, others are our own creative ideas. My thanks to the guys with that one ;).

My thanks, especially, to Alex Norton. I've always wanted to go a different direction with Sephiroth but I wasn't sure where. Well, he and I have created a new take with Sephiroth, and I would like your honest feedback... also, he's an INCREDIBLE director! There will be a promotional video in the near future about his upcoming video game Malevolence: The Sword of Ahkranox.

This is been done so many times, yet nonetheless it is always refreshing. All of you did an amazing job at portraying the emotions of these characters! :D This is an awesome fandub. I loved it!

Sephiroth's voice, even knowing that he tried something different, is still unfitting for him, but well enough acted.

Tifa didn't have the best mic, but did well.

Cloud was nearly flawless. Sora could use a different tone. But Donald and Goofy (as hard to do as they are) were great!

Overall this was an EXCELLENT fandub ^^.

Not gonna lie, this gives me great inspiration ^^ I love this, I couldve sworn I commented when it was uploaded ^^;; I personally love your take on Sephiroth now, its different and fresh, Clouds lines were great and emotion was perfect, you two are perfect voice actors! Truely amazing! Tifa sounded great as well as donald and goofy, especially donald! The mixing was GREAT! This was truely superb, everything was so perfect ^^

@BreakTheAge227 I see what you mean. I mis-read a few of my director's notes and went against my instincts... which ironically went with my director's notes if that makes any sense XD.

Same time, as you realise, this is an experiment. This will be reduxed in the future and I'm glad to have a proper critic like you on my side.

@BreakTheAge227 I am not exactly struggling to keep the voice up because the voice is hard, the reason it sounds stupidly forced is because Bill Farmer was speaking mostly on his lower inflection in this scene as opposed to his usual higher register during normal Disney stuff. If you noticed I try to find higher inflections to use but they barely work whereas lower inflections would fit better emotionally. My lower Goofy is still weak but I hope as I mature so will my voice. Thanks alot! =D

Donald - Majinboo: I think I heard your work as Donald before and I always liked what I heard! Gotta say though it's a pity you had only a few lines but you still sounded good and there's not much to critique on.

Goofy - VoiceActorDreamer: Okay first off... wicked Bill Farmer impression! But it sounded like you were struggling to maintain the voice and your acting suffered for it. But dude you could totally be the next Goofy! Keep excersicing those vocal chords man and you'll probably go places!

Sora - KiramaruXVI: You deliver the lines well but I think you sound too old to be Sora. I don't like to comment on the voices, I usually like to talk about the delivery of the lines but I feel this needs to be addressed. I reccomend experimenting with your voice a bit to see if you can sound closer to a 15 year old boy as Sora does. Not saying I could do any better of course... xD I just felt you were miscast is all.

And your batle grunts.... those just did not sound like battle grunts that Tifa would make, you were rather loud and and I was expecting more reserved battle grunts. In fact some of those grunts sounded like a certain chinese fighter from another game hmmmmm? xD Ah well despite that I thought you did well but there is room for improvement.
