Enjoying Classical Literature in Translation. Beatnik Translations. Translation Trends.
SEMI-CORRECTION: "Tully" usually refers not to Catullus, but to Cicero: Marcus Tullius Cicero. However, in autumn 2007 a musical about Catullus premiered in New York, titled TULLY (In No Particular Order).

  • wow- Medicinesocks - I learned a lot that I knew nothing about. You are full of interesting knowledge. :)

  • Norm, if you had been my poetry teacher I could honestly say that I would have stayed awake for your lectures. But I remember my HS poetry teacher spent half of his time outside the classroom and I'm not sure what we were supposed to be doing during his absence. It was NOT until my mentor Dr. John Summersette helped bring me to appreciate classic literature, however, most of which I've forgotten over the years. You help bring some of it back. Thanks!

  • What a great video. I love hearing people talk about lit.

  • Great I enjoyed this a lot.
