"Beyond The Fields We Know" This song's title was taken from a book of collected stories by Lord Dunsany. A writer before Tolkien who is definitely worth of looking into. The guitar is in an open tuning and plays against a D drone, moving freely between major and minor. This track features Thorne (of; Black Earth and the Laughing Childe) on guitar and vocals. accordion by Erik Osmundson. Filmed by Michael Hill Audio by, Rick Flosi [Portland, Or]

  • ah Thorne! how your guitar strings pluck at the strings of my heart. play on play on play on and share your musical / poetic talent with more and more people. again Eric's playing adds cool. you got it, babe!

    with love from karen

p.s. i'm so proud - ahhh. there's the change in this song, so lilty, swingn' light and lovely...takes me away... so proud of the time and photo of us singing at the burlingame coffee house..many friends like it. as they should.

  • One of my very favourites of yours--magical, beautiful and epic in the way that very good Zeppelin songs are--like sunshine and shadowplay or a perfect sunny, breezy San Francisco afternoon...

  • A journey through the landscape of emotion...soft, hard, vibrant, still, building, falling. And after all journey's there is sweet rest!

  • Stunning. Thorne, you are a master of chiaroscuro in music.
