First time capturing this classic David Olney song on video with a trio. Available on his Rounder Records album "Roses" - which also features: Lee's Highway/Bamaloo - Millionaire - Rex's Blues - Rose Tattoo - Love's Been Linked to the Blues and more!
I've always loved this seque... I asked David for Roses one time in Bethlehem, and he enthusiastically agreed. Evening was over and the song went unplayed, when he launched into NY Mining Disaster to which I thought, "WTF?" (And partway into the song thought, "you know, this is a great song..." About that time he started the bass run that leads into Roses. Olney is the humbler!!
