Group-produced animation in the style of William Kentridge. These charcoal drawings, erased and redrawn, produced a fantastic, beautiful short about an everyman daydreaming. Art school creation.

  • u know that u can do the same thing but 30x better if u do it with "adobe flash"

  • @downsid3up The point is that it IS hand drawn. It's not supposed to look like today's animation. It is the pain-staking hand-drawn and erased animation that makes you think about each and every frame, and about where the animation is going. "Undo" is not possible with this style animation. I have done Flash animation and it's great for what it is, but this style is a study in animation and patience all in itself.

  • Only feedback would be that the camera work was slightly dodgy. Too jolty and inconsistent, sort of ruined the animation for me - kills the reality. but otherwise the drawing is good.

  • @sillystupidpeople Thanks for the feedback! It was the first and only of its kind for us - it was in a college course that we made this, and it was only one project. Definitely would change/improve the camera action if I/we were to do another.

  • That was very good! I always thought that little bit of extra lead ruined my picture, but using it as a style of art is awesome. It was really good guys

  • Yeah, I remember those wishing for relief feelings when I was working. Now I'm retired and can do what I want and am supported by a money I earned. Only problem, I,m old.

  • @AmyJoWI and neat to see that ours was used as an example! hehe.
