Katie Price dumps Alex Reid on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here

Katie Price seemingly dumped latest boyfriend Alex Reid during a live TV interview.

The pair were questioning the model following her early departure from the reality show when she told them that she is now single.

She said: "I've done a lot of reflecting and I think it's best that I'm on my own. I just don't want to be in a relationship."

When they went on to press her about whether she has split with Alex, she confirmed: "I'm not with him, no. I cannot live my life by anyone else."

Her bombshell came just a day after it was reported that Alex had flown out to Australia to pop the question to Katie on live TV.

This new revelation is the latest in a long line of headline-grabbing moments from Katie this year. During an interview with Piers Morgan in July she angered ex-husband Peter Andre by revealing details of a miscarriage and in September she sparked further controversy when she claimed she was once raped by a celebrity but had not reported it to the police.

Katie also denied speculation last night that she went in with a game plan and said it wasn't true that she had always intended to leave the show after a week.

She also told the presenters that the experience had reminded her of her ex-husband, who she met during the 2004 series of the show:

"The whole place reminded me of Pete from morning till the moment I went to sleep. Every second it was Pete, Pete, Pete, Pete, Pete.

"Pete helped me through it last time. This time no one was there to help. It was cruel to do it to myself, so I just didn't want to stay. It is definitely closure. It is all over now and it is really sad."

Katie's return to I'm A Celebrity was no doubt planned to turn around her public image and win back sympathy but instead it's turned into a PR disaster.
