Part 1 - President Robert Mugabe's speech on how Ronald Reagan and Tony Blair reneged on their obligation to fund land reform in Zimbabwe.

Claire Short made Britain's reneging on it's obligation to fund land purchase in Zimbabwe official, when in November 1997, she wrote to the then Zimbabwean minister of Agriculture and Land:

From the Secretary of State

Hon Kumbirai Kangai MP
Minister of Agriculture and Land

Dear Minister

I should make it clear that we do not accept that Britain has a special responsibility to meet the costs of land purchase in Zimbabwe. We are a new Government from diverse backgrounds without links to former colonial interests. My own origins are Irish and as you know we were colonised not colonisers.

This is before the Zimbabwe Dollar was targeted for destruction by the Bush Administration and the DNC, to protect the De Beers diamond mining interests. They did this through ZDERA (the Zimbabwe Democracy and Economic Recovery Act of 2001, which went into force on Jan. 1st 2002).

You should check out Naomi Klein's book "The Shock Doctrine". She has an entire chapter on how the ANC was coopted into implementing neoliberal policies.

Robert Mugabe is very old and he has been in power for too long . He should retire and let the younger generation take over . Power is addictive like heroin or cocaine !!!.

You are right...Zimbabwe has as much platinum group metals as South Africa (the world's #1 producer)...most experts familiar with Zimbabwe's geology and mining programmes predict it will one day surpass S.A. in platinum group metals production

You did what you had to do. Sometimes, you just have to " take back" what is rightfully yours! What a brave, wise, and fearless leader this man is! More African leaders could, and should follow in his footsteps. Africa has and continue to be robbed by other countries. The continent really needs to unite. It is easy to break one stick, but when they are stacked tightly together, it is unlikely that they will be broken. Stay Strong, and keep speaking truth . The land is yours...not theirs!

They lack certain subset of mirror neurons. Until I went to South Africa and saw a "Smily in a township , Madela was a hero for me"
