The Killers have said in plenty of interviews that they were influenced by David Bowie, The Smiths, Morrissey, Bruce Springsteen and other classic rock legends. There is such thing as interpretation. This is art. Conor Oberst isn't a bigoted hipster who goes around blasting others, so I don't get why most of his fans are. I can 100% guarantee that fans of Oberst who look down on The Killers (because they are too mainstream, no doubt) would probably adore them if they were from 20 years ago. The Killers are honest, kind and beautiful. I love Bright Eyes as well. But I hate the fans. Narrow minded douchebags,

Conor writes better lyrics than Brandon ever will, but this cover is better. The last 2 Killers albums have been terrible, and Sam's Town was the best Killers album. Bright Eyes is better than the Killers, but this cover is better than the original.

This has nothing to do with The Killers fans to do! I've just never ever heard a song destroyed so much before! There is nothing in it, it is empty, destroyed and left in a shitty exaggeration of everything. Huh huh my ass..
