Sling is very common in the hands of Persian Shepard. That is the only way to be able to get red of Wolfe and other animals attacking the herd. They are really good at it. They Just go for the mid section of the hand or the foot. That is what they mostly do and the only way to chase them away. Injured and slow, the attacker beast must just go away. I have seen 7 and 10 years old Shepherds, shooting out very small Oranges  by slain from more than 100 feet away at least every 2 times out of 3.
