I love this movie. I watch it like a billion times around Easter. xD
-
Is that Jane Russell at :57?

The dresses used for the covers of Good Housekeeping and McCalls are
really amazing. The wedding dress--it unfortunately does not appear in this clip--
is actually included and we can see it just before the dress for Cosmopolitan.
Its beauty is second to none as well. Women used to have their clamor for glamor in the 1910s.
Thanks for posting this scene of the film.

This is actually 1910's fashion. The story in teh film Easter Parade takes place in 1911 and these dresses are historically accurate.
-
@MonroeSmile It is.
-
Although the film was released in 1948, the plot actually took place in 1919, so this fashion is from the teens, not the 30s or 40s
-
@MonroeSmile Of course: this is from Easter Parade.

When I see them I fall in love it makes me to be lesbian (i want to kiss them!!!)
-
Ann Miller was already famous. This is from Easter Parade where she starred with Fred Astaire and Judy Garland
