It is illegal to place worm feces on trees in New York City. Cut that shit out and get a job, you hippie!

Anyone know if there is an easy way to get red worms for free (or the cost of shipping)?

I love your video and if you don't mind I'd like to link it to my Blog. I have one question tho...aren't these bins supposed to have a tray of some sort to pick up the compost tea that worms produce?

the bins aren't producing compost tea, just plain compost. The tricky part is separating the compost from the worms, but you don't need a tray. you can simply move all the compost and worms to one side of the bin and then add new newspaper and food scraps to the other. the worms will migrate towards the new stuff and you can harvest the old.

I've been watching other videos about composting with worms... most of them insist on the liquid that drains off this composter. Why their worms produce liquid (compost tea) and yours doesn't?
I am confused...I made some videos on composting dry/green leaves/kitchen scraps, but people keep asking me what other option they have if they live in an apartment.
I am very interested in learning this other method. Thanks Outdoorboundvideos =)

I'm not sure where the liquid is coming from, but i know that my bin in my apartment just breaks down to "black gold" and not compost tea...there's no liquid and I will compost all different kinds of kitchen scraps...banana peels, egg shells, veggie scraps, etc. Maybe it depends on you're composting...

Really good video to encourage city composting. Mind if we show it at an Earth Day event at a DC church on April 20th?

Go for it. Can you send me info on the event? I'd love to know more about it.
