Those synthesizers are surely quite advanced for 1960?

This is so 80's to me...I cannot believe it's from 1960 ! I mean really, from production design to image quality, this screams 80's kitsch !!!

I need to do this seen in a play.

Ariel looks like the Snow Miser from "The Year Without Santa Claus."

Thank you for posting this - I have never come across this before and spent my life working in Shakespeare. There is a little of the Tempest I directed on my channel, if anyone is interested in seeing it.

maurice evans was considered one of THE best shakesperian actors EVER. this may not be his best performance but he was and is in my opionion the standard to strive.

Thank you for posting this and so many more! I am currently teaching an elementary class of grades 4-5-6 The Tempest. We'll watch this together and hopefully, they will be inspired! Their performance is a class project scheduled for late June.....!
Production design looks really cool.
