@dendog21 Ohh, well ok.

@1americanidol11 To me this video was an advertisement for that company mentioned in the video. Yeah you can learn stuff from them but they will probably want you to buy their equipment.

@1americanidol11 because the fuel will eat through the older fuel lines over time. even in newer vehicles (and older vehicles) you will have to replace your fuel filters a couple times in the first couple of tanks fillups because the fuel will eat through the deposits left by regular diesel fuel clogging your filter. And if you use straight untreated WVO you have to filter it to below 10 microns or it will clog your filters. In cold climates you gotta keep the fuel warm or it will gel up.
-
@1americanidol11 This video also gives partial information. The man tells people its simple just some WVO, alcohol and a little lye in a blender and you got biodiesel but thats not all there is to it. You have to do titration tests on the oil, you have to obtain a large enough quantity of methynol to make the biodiesel. It takes 4 gallons of Methynol to make 20 gallons of fuel. A lot of places its illigal to store that much methynol. In older vehicles you have to replace fuel lines

@1americanidol11 Most people need to be captivated almost immediately like myself and this video doesn't do that. The only reason I watched this video all the way through is to see if it got better and it really didn't. Not in my opinion. This is youtube. There are thousands of videos and people will more than likely click to the next video rather than sit through the first part of a bad production. Do you watch the entirety of every video you click on?

@1americanidol11 Do a search on youtube. "How to make Biodiesel". You will see the difference in videos. Some have hundreds of views and some have hundreds of thousands of views. Watch a video at each end of the view count. Low view videos are usually bad quality video or sound and the presentation isn't rehearsed. High view videos are usually the opposite although there are few exceptions. Information alone doesn't make the video, you need presentation as well

@1americanidol11 The stats tell you it doesn't work. This is a 2 part video. Of the 20,000 views the first video got, almost 75% of the people didn't watch the second video. Thats assuming that all 6,000 views of the second video WERE in fact people that watched the first video. People naturally like to get information from professional looking people not some guy in a T-shirt even if he does know what he's talking about. Also want to see how to do it not just hear that they should.
-
@dendog21 And how doesn't this video work?
-
@dendog21 You don't need permission to speak, but it is pretty rude when you're insulting someone when the whole point of the video is to educate a person on the importance of biodiesel.
did you even watch the video? its promoting use of WASTE vegetable oil. Look at Brazil where 3/4 of their fuel is biofuel and they have no food crisis. Or read about the Algae that can be grown in the desert and produce biofuels almost 100X more efficiently than corn.
