The Manoel Island and Tigné Point project covers an area of 44 hectares in the heart of one of Malt's busiest commercial and residential areas.
Tigne Point is a 30 acre, mixed-use, seafront development, set in a totally pedestrianised environment. Some 260 of the 420 planned homes here have been launched to-date and the first owners took up residence in 2007. Tigne Point will also include a 17,000m² retail Mall, anchored by Debenhams, called The Point, a 2,500m² Piazza, cafes and restaurants, 16,000m² of fully IT-enabled office space, a Clubhouse and various sports facilities.
The plans for Manoel Island include a low-rise development on some 30% of the island's area, which will include a car-free Mediterranean-style village, a 5-star hotel and a fully-fledged yacht marina. Historic buildings on the island including Fort Manoel and the Lazzaretto are being restored and the green area around the fort will be maintained as a public park.
