John McCusker takes you on a tour of New Orleans and the origins of jazz from my DVD "The Story of Jazz: New Orleans Stomp" http://www.amazon.com/Story-Jazz-New-Orleans-Stomp/dp/B000GYI24G/ref=sr_1_1?i...
2001 Mardi Gras featuring Louis Armstrong's "West End Blues" (1928) and "Potato Head Blues" (1927) plus Jelly Roll Morton's "Oh Didn't He Ramble" (1939) - all beautifully restored into stereo by Robert Parker from his collection of original 78 rpm records.

  • These greats should have a film on them!Sadly we make films regarding more notorious figures these daze ..that's not a typo!

  • Great Video. Well done. Sad that all that history has gone. At least we have the music to inspire us.

Sounds like you are a local.
