These are not northern lights and as we followed them to find out what they were, there was nothing. They had been flashing on and off for about an hour; glad I got it on camera. But what the hell were they??!!

  • So, were the lights from Geiteryggen?

  • @gulllars Yup!

  • Weird! They certainly aren't northern lights, we get them here. Was there anything on the news? Please give us an update if you find out anything new.

  • @junbug1029 Turns out they WERE from the airport. I got interviewed, and once the article was published (today) a pilot friend of my husband's told us they are "Running Rabbits"; light indicators that go on when planes have little or no visibility...when we got up there, there were no planes landing, so the lights were off!

  • @Zemfira25 ohh! is that all it was? still, neat

  • @Sheilaaliens Sheila, Oslo University's top Astronomer even sat down to see this video...pretty cool!! I was interviewed by the local media peeps; many different people had theories on the light though after they saw and read the article. It's not being dismissed as "logical" just yet...fun!

  • @Zemfira25 Thumbs up for the honest follow up. Made me warm inside~ ; )

  • Hmm. jeg er en believer selv og har sett ufoer før men det der tror jeg nok er en brannbil eller noe i den duren som står å blinker....:-)

  • Great capture, I have seen a few of these video's and no one seems to know what it is. The one from New Jersey is just incredible as well.

  • What type of camera are you using, it has great quality!

  • Not northern lights they don't pulsate. I see them every winter in upstate N.Y.!!

  • Electromagnetic discharge from rock and tectonic pressure?

  • it may be a Transformer on a pole blow out we had this happen all the time back home it light up the sky just like that .. but who knows what it could be i guess
