John Woo produced this crime drama, a remake of his Bullet in the Head. Directed by Alexi Tan (Double Blade), it tells three best friends came to the 1930s Shanghai for a new life. While making fortune with the local gangs, they choose to go different ways, and turn against each other in the end.
This movie looks great! I really have to check it out cuz I loved the original by John Woo. I just saw a great documentary called “Films of Fury” that had a bunch of clips from Chinese movies including the best of John Woo. The doc just came out on demand and was really entertaining!
