Yes he is, amen. When he died his wife discovered many works Andrew had tucked away that had never been seen by the public or anyone else. It was a tremendous find for art fans everywhere.
I was just watching an interview of Bradford Cox from Deerhunter and he said something that fits here: "I don't mind sentimentality as long as it's not calculated. There's nothing I enjoy more than nostalgia, but I don't like commodifying nostalgia, making it into a cheap aesthetic trick."
