  • @crandall23 Marines? HAHA.... ever JO i had with Marines, us kids would usually see who's more bad ass by doing the Marine PFT, because they always whine that it's harder than the armies. 8/10 soldiers in the 1-506th would end up beating Marines at their own PFT. hindsight is 20/20.... so i suggest you to shut up

keep that attitude in training and you will get MUCH stronger. I think anyone who's been to training will understand what I'm saying.

  • @australiafinest yea 18 minutes isn't that great... for PJ they want us running 3 miles in 19... i'd recommend reading Runner's World Magazine just online look up who to runn better and they teach you breathing techniques and a few exercises that help increase lung capacity and form... just keep trucking and you'll get better :)

  • @australiafinest thats really bad sorry man your 2 miles should be at least 13 min

did you just start running though?

  • ive been running for about a month and i can do 2 miles in about 18 mins is that good?

It's looked down upon because it is supposed to cause a breaking action which slows down your run. I used to be almost a toe runner which was probably even worse since I burn up my calves on longer distance runs, but then I discovered a technique called pose running where you run on the balls of your feet with fast cadence, shorter strides, and gravity is used to propel you forward. I can make 2 miles in the mid 13s now and my goal is to get it down under 11 minutes with pose running.

Don't worry, they'll push you until you can't do more. And running 6 miles is one thing, the speed required to pass the 2 miles is something else.

  • hi sgt ken i have problem with running,i can`t run non-stop when i encounter right kidney cramp.
