demis roussos was actually born in egypt not greece on 15th june 1947 vangelis who was also in this group however is greek he was born evangelos papathanassiou on 29th march 1943

This was Vangelis' band he formed when in France in the late 60's.

Vangelis's first group was The Forminx in the early of '60 in Athens.
Forminx - φορμινξ, was an ancient greek instrument - like guitar.
