155Millimeter said that a Marine could'nt hit a 16" circle in a standing position at 500 yds. Well we did better. Heres a former Marine and my team mate for the MCAS shooting team that shot a 12" target, standing. 155 said that if anyone could prove it he would post the video on his channel and say he was wrong... Incase you're wondering, we were invited to shoot for the base team back in 2009... Think about being in the prone and supported-headshots...

  • That was some impressive shooting. What is your friends choice of ammo for that rifle.

Im more excited that ever to start High Power shooting, way to go.

  • @jetfuel545 i think he was shooting black hills 77gr molly coated. basically winchester powder, brass and sierra matchking. black hills contracts out to winchester. that sucks too because winchester powder is dirty as hell, and in a match AR with tight tolerances, they can get sluggish. so when you get yours grab a can of remlube and a boresnake to keep with it...

  • @danthman114 Good info, I have always heard good things about Black Hills. I have only shot it once years ago. Im cheap and like to reload a lot, and already have RE-15 and Varget for my .308 so I hope one of those will give fine accuracy so I dont have to buy another powder. And Ill be sure to keep cleaning supplies with this rig.

Interesting note on the molly, Ive only shot that in factory loads for a 300wsm. Wonder if there is a real noted difference in barrel life, accuracy, and velocity

  • @jetfuel545 personally i couldnt say if the accuracy is any diffrent with molly. some people swear by it, others dont like it. i can say this tho'. the usmc team, the real usmc team not the off shoots like what im on, use 110gr sierra rounds in the slow fire. non coated. they dont fit in the magazines; too long. lol but they do use the 77's during the rapid fire- 8rds and 2rd mags.

  • @jetfuel545 and a side note on molly rounds. i read somewhere that the molly coating will wear off inside the barrel and if moisture somehow gets under it-it will rust and ruin your barrel...

  • Finally got me a nice, inexpensive spotting scope. :)

Can't wait to get out to the range and see if I can clang a 500 meter target with my AR15 carbine :) Should be tons of fun.

  • good shootin

  • @danthman114 you got a great bragging right here. Look up Quigley down under scene, he only shot at 300-400yds.

  • 155 is just a fucking boonie cover afficiniado nothing more

  • No one should tell a marine he cant shoot. That guy must be a city slicker frist timer
