unfinished - Asoiaf/Pillars

I think I'll just put these videos here, I need to get them out of my system. I've been trying to make an Asoiaf video since the series came out, but I'm having an hard time with Windows Movie Maker and consequently with making videos. I just can't stand that program anymore. I want to make good videos and WWM doesn't fit my expectations, that's all. Especially with the awesomeness that's GOT.
Any suggestions about a good, simple, not too heavy program? I know that Sony Vegas rules, but I've tried that program 3 times, and every time my free version expired before I could make anything out of it, apart learning the basics. X3

Oh about this video. Just a silly experiment with the "Pillars of the Earth" trailer. I think that's a very, very good trailer, and its pattern would be great with GOT.
