http://www.ted.com In this short talk, Arianna Huffington shares a small idea that can awaken much bigger ones: the power of a good night's sleep. Instead of bragging about our sleep deficits, she urges us to shut our eyes and see the big picture: We can sleep our way to increased productivity and happiness -- and smarter decision-making.
TEDTalks is a daily video podcast of the best talks and performances from the TED Conference, where the world's leading thinkers and doers give the talk of their lives in 18 minutes. Featured speakers have included Al Gore on climate change, Philippe Starck on design, Jill Bolte Taylor on observing her own stroke, Nicholas Negroponte on One Laptop per Child, Jane Goodall on chimpanzees, Bill Gates on malaria and mosquitoes, Pattie Maes on the "Sixth Sense" wearable tech, and "Lost" producer JJ Abrams on the allure of mystery. TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design, and TEDTalks cover these topics as well as science, business, development and the arts. Closed captions and translated subtitles in a variety of languages are now available on TED.com, at http://www.ted.com/translate. How to succeed? Have Jewish parents and then the banks and the government will give you other people's money. Its not really that hard.

This is one truth that almost never gets told. I now know why Donald Trump sometimes talks like he is mad. He bragged before Larry King I guess that he gets only 4 hours of sleep each day and suggested that a time will come when one will sleep forever.
Now I know why most so called leaders are erratic: John McCain, George W. Bush.

It's a little disturbing how even TED talks tend to chronically keep underrepresenting minority/colored women. Basic progressive policy is to prioritize the underprivileged.
Yet, the very women in society who suffer the most from pressures of the religious right & who lack social mobility most often are, time and again, being sidelined in favor of upper class Western white females.
We're in the year 2013. Something about this mentality is really worrying.
