Dear Soldier: A Letter from Home.

I have enjoyed making video montage tributes. It made me feel like I was doing something for the troops. But today, I was reading letters from soldiers, and no song would do. I just had to write how I feel. Stay safe, and God bless you.

You know, i used to be one of those "bring our troops home now" person. I just found out one my best friends was killed in afghanistan...Now that i've felt what parents feel about all this..i cant help but wonder that if we bring them home, will it have been for nothing? I mean who's going to tell the mothers that their child died for nothing because we pulled out before we got the job done.

@Carfagno223 I agree. I want our troops home too. But if they aren't allowed to get the job done, what was it worth? I just pray for them and hope for an ending that allows them to come home safe having accomplished their mission.

Just because the media and the White House seem to have forgotten our troops doesn't mean WE should. General McCrystal asked for more troops in Afghanistan back in August. What is Obama waiting for? Our troops are dying with no support. A surge would help our troops by sheer intimidation of numbers and support. Where is Obama? he's "thinking about it" between interviews, speeches, and rounds of golf. He's busy winning the Nobel F'ing Peace Prize!

I just stumbled across this. I served in the Army for over 22 years. I always avoided internet when I was deployed, refused to read letters unless it was from my wife and would never call home. I did this simply because I did not want distractions. I did not want to worry about what was going on back home. I lost friends in many places and I want to say thank you. God Bless.

I appreciate it a hell of a lot, i lost 4 of my guys in 2010, and im going back in April. I hope they're lookin' down watching this video, they would be honored. R.I.P.

U know I'm Gettin so tired of watching these wonderful videos n seeing all these nasty arguments. If y'all wanna argue then do it somewhere els, not on a video that's dedicated to all our troops. It's just sad!

Tho I'm pleased to say I think this video is awesome, I found out the other day that my soldier is coming home early!

@bookhound63 exactly, our troops were given a specific job to get done, and they're trying...but it really does seem like every step of the way, they are being told that they have to do it in what seems to be the hardest way and that takes the bigger toll
