I would say after about 3 months they were pretty much healed.

What a shame. You had such beautiful long hair. Years to grow and only seconds to chop off. By the way, the braid looked really nice.

it was beautiful but at least it did not go to waste, he donated it to locks of love so child out there will have beautiful hair now :)
