This is the closing scene of the the series finale of Six Feet Under. Featuring the track "Breathe Me" by Sia, it is arguably the most powerful six minutes of any show and a fitting end to one of the best dramas ever on TV. Claire has just packed up her life to embark on a cross-country move to NYC, and we see flash-forwards of each major character, from the near future up until their deaths.

  • I wonder, if a method to prolong life, perhaps indefinitely, was indeed discovered, would it ever willingly and openly be released for the world's population to use?

I for one would relish the opportunity to live forever, despite the heartache brought by the loss of loved ones.

  • @KanoSozaburo huh? that's keith and one of their sons

  • 2:37 .....David and Keith broke up??? ..... Mr Ball could at least show some mercy on us with them :( .

  • I LOVED this show and watching everyone's deaths felt so personal. It felt like my family members were dying. To date, I haven't cried harder at anything other than my daughter's birth. That's how I know this was an excellent series.

  • @Camila8liveira hahahah! BUT YOU WILL SEE EVERYONE YOU LOVE DIE. Thats why its so incredible, because we can ALL relate to it and there's no way out except dying.

  • I remember when we saw Ruth's card and we realized where they were going with this, my wife and I just grabbed each others' hands, and we were a puddle by the time it was over.

  • This destroyed me when it first aired. Just did it again.

  • Amazing. However, I get the feeling that, for Brenda, at that moment, death was a sweet release.

  • That's the saddest and best series finale I've already watched in my whole life. Can't wait until next year when I'm gonna watch this show from the beginning. I love this song and everytime I listen to it I remember of Six Feet Under. I also would hate being Claire and see everyone I love dying.

  • so everyone dies?
