Here is a demo of my Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier Roadster, or the Mesa Boogie Roadster.

I show my amp and go through my settings on my four channels. I am still tweaking them constantly trying to find the perfect tone. I will upload a new video once I have managed to find my perfect tones.

Also the quality of the sound that the cam picks up is not great. I'll put up better videos once I find a better camera to use.

  • ok so im deciding between this amp and a mesa dual recto what should i get?

    pleaase respond

  • @MetalMan1023 If you have the money, I'd get the roadster. It has 4 channels as opposed to 3. You can get ALOT of sounds out of it!

  • @Delpire okay does this amp have LOTS of high gain?

  • @MetalMan1023 Oh yea dude. Most mesa's have high gain.

  • So what exactly does the FX loop do? How does it work?

  • @diazcamille I am not sure. I've never used it.

  • STOP TALKING MORE PLAYING

  • does the roadster have a "presence" control?

they all sound good to me except for the channel 4 - i would suggest you try turning the presence way down, and maybe even the gain a little to clean up that fizz.

  • Dude, that metal tone for channel 4 is AWESOME...do you have the settings?

  • @diazcamille The FX Loop in the Mesa Roadster sits between your preamp and power amp and if you have it active with effects pedals or units etc. in the loop, it sends your preamp sound out to the effects unit and receives it before fully amplifying it in the power section. Mesa now uses "Series" loops as opposed to "Parallel" loops.

  • @Delpire PS: for $200, you get another channel and channel assignable reverb throughout the amp.

  • @Delpire The Roadster sells for $200 US more than the Dual Rectifier and you can usually find them for a couple hundred less when used. I used to be a dual rec guy, then I played a Roadster :D

  • @Delpire How much money did you drop on this its nearly £2500 new in the uk iff you dont mind me asking

  • @digitrixster well it's gonna sound huge cuz it's a lot of wattage i played through a peavey 6550+ and got to crank it one day through an orange 212 cab, and then later tried it through a 412, the 212 couldn't even begin to compete with the larger cab. It had more tone and definition than the 212.

  • @Sean2592 You obviously have no experience with Mesa 3/4 Back cabs. The 3/4 Back 1x12" (the cab in this video) sounds absolutely huge. I know; I have one.

  • @MetalMan1023 Buy a Rivera, it's quite better !

  • not tryin to pick at ya or anything man but i really don't see how your 112 has held up with that amp head i've personally even tried a 212 with the mesa dual rectifier and and the speakers just can't handle the bass Mesa puts in these. I know the Recto Cab 412 is an expensive mother fucker but if you can afford the head that shouldn't hurt you too bad
