In order for the City of Detroit to stimulate meaningful ecconomic growth to all its residents it needs to better balance the development of the Downtown area and its surrounding neighborhoods. One cannot happen without the other.

  • I completely agre with your description.

Unfortunately, that's not happening with a rapid decline in the neighborhoods & a very slow revival of the city center.

  • Thank you for your comment and hopefully we can all work together to make not only Detroit better but the rest of the State as well. Best Regards, Douglas

  • Just think if we had $9 million to go around town and demolish decrepit homes. wait a second...did I say $9 million? Isn't that how much the playa mayor squandered over the fired cop/dead stripper/sex text scandal? Douglas Johnson I don't know who you are but you are fighting an uphill battle.

  • ( million sure could have done alot to help the neighboorhoods but I suspect that much more is missing that could have helped. You are right, it is an uphill battle but when are difficult things ever easy? What's important is that we all at least try to make a positive difference. Without any effort we can be sure that things will never get any better for the average person. Thanks for your comment and most importantly, never lose hope.

  • I feel for you - good luck doing the impossible - you'll have to remove the blacks to improve the neighborhood, and the liberal system isn't going to do that.

Everyone notice it's a white that is caring for his area?

  • Douglas Johnson - thanks for standing up for the City of Detroit and doing the re-call. You are a great man and deserve the very best. Keep up the good work - the people will appreciate your doings.

  • What ? I can't hear you !

  • Show me your city council and I'll show you your city. I've seen your city council and behold.... Detroit. Keep your head down and get outta there. Thanks for posting this video.

  • People can not afford the homes and until that changes everything will remain the same.I am highly considering just purchasing land in Detroit for a farm.I figure that I can create a few jobs that way and maybe aquire some properties to fix up.Then I can hire some local people to help me renovate those homes and hopefully have my workers live there.Little steps at a time are better than nothing.

  • it is a symptom of the general decline of civlized order. the cornerstone of civilization is family without which anarchy follows. we are under some very bad influences where there is a high divorce and abortion rate. our minds have been sabotaged by evil and detroit is an example of the consequence

  • I can't hear a thing...

  • I want to hear you so maybe re-do this video without cars going by or a mic, or inside looking out a window... suggest from inside your car looking out at something bleak, you in the front seat, camera in the backset looking over your shoulder out the windshield.

  • Wise up white boys. You want to listen to horrible shit like Lil' Wayne and speak like a moron. Niggers don't like you. They laugh at your ignorant pathetic ass.

  • Doze it down and pack everyone in one area. Could be policed better.

  • damn theres alot of ignorant racism on youtube

  • I agree with ya 110%.What was difference when the neighborhoods went to shit? The niggers moved in.Fuckin animals man!
