RC Helicopter Crash #2

This was actually our first attempt at taping longer blades on it. As you can see, no control and little air space bring it down for the count.

Do you really mean you used sticky tape to attach the blades? There is no way this will work.

When the blades spin fast enough to lift the helicopter, any slight irregularity in the tape will turn the top of your helicopter into a giant vibrator.

Also the torque will increase and the tail rotor will no longer be able to prevent the helicopter from spinning in opposition to the blades.

Finally the motor probably isn't rated for the larger blades and will likely spin slower and overheat.
