  • where did you get it?

  • @27cmp ...rememeber I said with AMT it was 50/50 on quality..well my first one was from Sports Authority in the late 80's they still sold pistols here in Hawaii. Anyway, one was a dud...had to return it for a refund after a month.

Got this from a local gun shop.

  • what concealment gun should my friend get or if you have a list please reply

  • @iTzaNAZi ...that's a hard question...only you can decide what to carry and if it fits your needs.

Now as you can see something chunky like the AMT .45 back-up can be carried in a pocket holster...so can the small Glocks 26, 26, etc...

the Ruger LCP in .380 auto is perfect as a pocket pistol and there's a whole bunch or revolvers that are concealable.

  • I owned an AMT 45 cal backup. I had it for 2 years. It jammed all the time. No matter what ammo I used, it chocked. A work associate wanted to buy it from me, but I told him NO; because I didn't want to hear about how much it jammed later on. I wanted this gun out of my like. I went with a Kimber Ultra Tactical, and have loved it since. I guess I got stuck with a bad AMT, if yours works so well.

  • @azcactus2008 ...yeah like i said it's a 50/50 shot...some guys want to throw theirs away and other guys swear by by them.

    I got a Kimber Warrior...just FYI.

  • I have the same in .380 for years now & have had NO problems whatsoever.I have put at least 1000 rds through it,and it fits in your pocket SO well.If I get a chance to find one in .45,I won't hesitate to get one.DAO means no safety(don't have to worry about getting shot as you forgot you left it on)can carry 1 in chamber without fear(no time wasted in emergency pulling slide),only 5 rds,so I carry extra mag..The groove is plenty good enuff.I can hold 6" at about 20yd,& body mass at 25yd or so.

  • I have this same pistol. You're right its a "backup" gun for very short distances in self-defense situations only. I was able to make one small modification, and put 1/2 of a Hogue grip around the grip to give more stability to my 2nd & 3rd fingers since there is very little to grio with your shooting hand. Very powerful for its size.

  • great defense gun.

  • what do you do on an assignment

  • DAMN!! That tiny little thing rocks 45??

  • are u in like law enforcement or special forces?

  • You must have Air Force. That is one very small 45. I would love to get one.
