  • For arrivals its like a spiral system if there are a/cs holding because there must be 1000' separation between them, but the departures are not going to spiral down are they?

  • apparenty heathrow have this spiral system for arrivals and departures is this fact true or false ?

  • @mcwhizzkid123 They have STARs for arrivals, where it ends at the inital approach fix and holding patterns from about FL140 to FL70 if its busy, all aircrafts are routed via 4 VORs around LHR. Depending on the direction of the arrival BNN from the North, LAM from the East, OCK from the South(west) and BIG from South (east). The departures use SIDs to get them out of a busy TMA onto the airways.

  • No probs, the 2008 ones the ATC is better but 09s in use.
