Naw, I think dancing games is a lot more a learning curve. Some people pick it up super fast, some (like me) it takes forever.
I started playing DDR in 2000. It took me a year to get off Light, then I was stuck on Standard for like 5 years. In 2006 I finally broke into Heavy, and I didn't start getting SDGs and passing 10s and such until early 2007.
So yeah, I wasn't "good" for a long time, and to be fair I still don't think I'm "good". But I pretend to be ;)

yeah, but you can really say the same thing about dancing games. you're either good at it, or you're not.
i was just like you, except with dancing games. when i first played ITG in August 2007 (please note i was a DDR player for at least 4 years beforehand), i played a 9 or so. i almost got a quadstar, so i went right to the 11s, and i've been passing stuff ever since :p

Haha, yeah, Vocals is something that you're pretty much either good at or you're not.
It doesn't matter if you "sound good" or not though since you can hum and still score well.
I sing in real life almost every day, so I when I got the game I played Medium like once, was like "screw this easiness", and switched to Expert and never went back since.
I have shitty coordination so I'm bad at drums. It took me forever but I'm finally on Hard on most songs... Expert makes me cry ;_;

drums are the only instrument i can do well. guitar, im iffy on. but everytime i play vocals, a kitty dies XD

I would get tired after 15 songs on drums, but then, I royally suck at drums :p

thats' pretty crazy. i got to maybe 30 songs on Expert Drums before i just said fuck it, im tired.
