We're a family of musicians and lovers of music of all kinds. Often these covers are amateurish and I wonder why people think others would like to hear them. You really did a good job. My son just finished writing and recording his second album, all original material, albeit at home. He'll be a graduating senior at Queens College in NYC. Aaron Copland School. Thanks. I'm always surprised at how liked this cover is compared to some of my other stuff, since back when I did it I was a total newbie at music production.

I am fortunate to have a strong harmonic sense and this song's structure is relatively simple, so I was able to produce it mostly from memory, vocals included...though I did make a mistake with the 'words' in the chorus since I jumped into recording the parts without checking properly..nobody seems to mind though.

For this one, nothing very fancy, just Sonar with Rewire and a microphone, plus some live piano to warm it up a little.

Wow.....Nice bloody job!.....I just posted a comment to a vid of Mike Love And Bruce Johnson performing this tune at some music fest......Said I thought they sounded like a "Decent Tribute Band"......Pretty sad really. love it!, this version has something over the original recording & I dig the sound even more. This band was definetly the only answer we had to The Beatlemania. I'm not sure how many singles the Beachboys threw on the music charts back in the sixties but I do know they were throwing 'em on left and right, The Doors and Monkees didn't stack up, besides by the time the Doors were chartbound the Beatles had been in full control...and the Beatchboys were there all along, like it or not!
