Yes it was on purpose, no it's not cheating. Daniel is just good at reading and bluffing.
I know he doesn't have as much bracelets as Chan but he's damn good at surprising his opponents.

I don't think there's much doubt he meant it since he picks his money up with his left hand and moves his right hand(unnaturally) up at the same time. But it's hardly "cheating", as revealing either of your cards can't do anything but compromise the strength of your own hand.

@spichy18 when the 9 was exposed he said "there's one 9"... insinuating that he had a pair of 9's in his hand. he knew that eli at most had a small pair, so he was trying to win the hand early, before the river. (he didnt know that he was going to hit the 8 on the river). Yea it's a cheap move. I think he did do it on purpose. But it's poker.
