Religious pandering has become strategic in Republican political positioning. A likened majority has become top priority regardless of the science involved. Scientific facts are skewed to promote a nonsensical inflamed majority influenced by pontification reminiscent of evangelical fundamentalist movement during the Reagan era. Evangelical reassertion is not on their to do list.

Tea Party and conservative ideology has absolutely become like a religion. These republicans live inside a bubble where logic and reason just don't penetrate, as it is with the strongly held religion. Bill Maher and Keith Olberman best emphasized this in Bill's show Real Time in a recent "New Rules" segment. Funny stuff.
