i've seen mn teams copy ENTIRE dances, the music, choreography, even the costumes from college teams... true its from a college team so it might not seem like a big deal, but for me, copying a couple seconds of choreo from a fellow mn team is WAY more respectable than stealing entire routines.
@teexmad You need to do your research, the move that was "copied", is not a move that Cathedral created, Faribault has been using that exact choreography since at least 2005 if not before that. Borrowing one move that MANY other teams have used in previous kick routines, so many in fact that the originators probably can't even be traced, does not deem a team deserving of the rude comments you have left.
@teexmad. There are only so many moves a person can do with their body. I am pretty sure that doing a tilted kick at 1:26 isn't "copying" cathedral. Cathedral has been state champions multiple times and that is fantastic, but just because your team didn't get first doesn't mean you can criticize others. I think it is extremely difficult to choreograph about a 4 minute dance so I give any dancer who has to do that a lot of credit. :)
@teexmad Well when it really comes down to it the judges don't care where you got your choreography. Obviously they liked the performance enough to give it a well deserved 1st place. Amazing job, ladies!
I agree with @sparta300ish, @teexmad it isn't a big deal to take a move or two from someone, it happens all the time. Have you observed that St. Cloud Cathedral's 2010 jazz dance completely copied Delano dance team's jazz dance from 2008 (type of song, dance theme, costume color, basically the whole beginning of the dance and a couple other moves). I think that is a little worse than one move haha
@sparta300ish I understand that, but when its multiple accounts where they only take most moves from scc, it gets to be a tad bit annoying, just sayin.

1:31-1:33 looks quite familiar? OH! I know why, because St.Cloud Cathedral did it in 2008!! Sartell seems to always take Cathedral's moves? Hmmm?
if you don't believe me, check it out for yourselves.
and st.cloud cathedral does the move at 1:26
