Scott [Jared Padalecki] and Alex Summers [Jensen Ackles] are brothers. When they were young, a plane crash caused the death of their parents. They were both put into adoption at young ages and were soon separated. Alex was too young to remember his older brother, but Scott never forgot. Alex's adoptive father tells him and Alex doesn't really believe him.
A few years later, Alex stumbles across the phone humber to a Scott Summers and tries giving him a call. Scott realizes it's Alex, and can't bring himself to see him after all the years. Alex leaves a message about meeting Scott somewhere and Scott gives in, meeting his brother at their parents grave. The two have a bumpy brotherly bond, but it won't break after what they deal with as mutants living in an unchanging world.
