Z06 with Hoosiers hangs with ZR1

09' Z06 hangs with 09' ZR1 on buttonwillow raceway's west loop including lost hill and sweeper. also see "09 ZR1 now following 09 Z06"... ZR1 stock with 2 passengers. Z06 stock with Hoosier rs6 tires and 2 passengers. was about 80 degrees. averaged about 97 mph/lap. top speed between 125-135mph in 3 parts of the track. both cars got about 6mpg on 100 octane race gas. got about 80 laps on the 1.8 mile track.... give or take a few laps. no problems. 1st track day with both cars. sorry for poor quality... will improve camera mounting on future track days.

Wow. Both cars averaged about 6mpg, balls out on the track? You can't say thats at all bad. The 350 in my '64 Chevy C10 was getting about 9mpg before I rebuilt the carb. That was combined city/highway cruising at very light throttle, while gettting on it just occasionally.

yes,... didn't keep detailed stats... but a little over 6 is about right. the zr1 gets about 10.5-12 in town. the best i've done is just under 14.... it's pretty impossible to stay out of it that much. did a x-country trip and the zr1 was getting around 19.5-22.5 on the hwy. i'm not 100% sure about the zo6 numbers....
